The New Yahoo IDs Work in Messenger

Yahoo for some reason or another has brought back @rocketmail and has also added @ymail to their service. Rocketmail has been around forever and went away for a little while. Maybe it is just some sort of marketing ploy to say hey come look at what we brought back.

Yahoo! Mail Issues retrieving from external accounts

Do you use an external e-mail account? Do you have it setup in Yahoo! Mail to receive your external mail? I am sure you have noticed that there has been a few issues regarding this feature of Yahoo! Yahoo Mail integrates IM

Beginning Monday, some Yahoo Mail users will be able to chat in real time through their e-mail program. Yahoo said in November that it would embed instant-messaging technology directly into its Yahoo Mail program so that users wouldn’t have to open up–or even install–Yahoo Messenger or another IM ,service to chat with each other online.

This should be an interesting venture, perhaps they are doing this to not only compete with google, but perhaps with the likes of meebo and other web driven instant messengers?
